Bob Jones University also know as BJU Press, or simply BJU,
became a very important topic in our lives making the very
important decision to homeschool my nine year old son.
I spent countless hours looking into many different curriculums
but finally decided on using Bob Jones University. I needed a
curriculum that would break lessons up into a schedule and I
also wanted quizzes and tests pre-made with answer keys to check
by.
By choosing Bob Jones University, I would be able to easily
create a weekly outline of activities that would smoothly fit
into our busy schedule. I also wanted a curriculum that
would be challenging and keep my son up to date with the
material children attending public school were learning. I was
confident from my research Bob Jones University would meet and
surpass that standard. |
BJU provides a complete
curriculum that combines Christian values with every day situations.
For example, each BJU subject has Bible verses for the children to look
up. The Bible verses relate to every day activities and it allows the
kids to see where God’s word is still living in society today. It
provides examples of life lessons that help parents enforce healthy
boundaries.
I have enjoyed using BJU in my
household because I have seen such a change in the behavior of my child.
His Christian values are becoming more of an instilled habit and his
behavior has changed for the better. BJU applies Christina values in a
way that is simple and easy for children to understand. Children are
given the freedom to use what they learn from the lessons to make
important decisions that will affect their future. BJU press provides a
strong Christian foundation that in conjunction with everyday teaching
will provide them with the necessary knowledge to become all they can
be.
I also liked the fact that BJU
press offers e-news which is an e-mail that keeps homeschoolers up to
date with all the latest news, information and newest products Bob Jones
University offers. The e-mail is free and in addition to the BJU
curriculum, it is very handy advice.
